The Platinum Adventures® is perfect for you if you like museums, theaters, out-of-town excursions, etc. We do the planning, you choose which events you want to go on. There is no annual fee and you only pay for events you wish to participate in. Some of our events are FREE too!

Our journey starts at the Field Museum where we will discover the sophistication and complexity of the vast but short-lived Aztec Empire during the 16th century. View more than 250 beautiful objects of stone, ceramic, and precious metals that offer a new perspective on aspects of Aztec culture, including religion, cosmology and human sacrifice. We will be having an authentic Mexican lunch. After lunch we will tour the Little Village Neighborhoods, home of colorful murals and world traditions. Our final treat for the day will be Mexican Hot Chocolate. Yummm!

As in all Cirque Du Soleil shows, we will be taken on an acrobatic journey - this time to the heart of the city. We will see performers tied to bungees swing, droop and fly in the air in ways that defy gravity, acrobats whose bodies meld together to create startling figures, trapeze artists, jugglers, Russian swing performers and so much more. It's Cirque Du Soleil so you can expect the spectacular! We will dine at The Cliffbreakers Restaurant, located in the bluffs overlooking the Rock River.

Tamatha Smith, a Community Relations Specialist with the Service in the Neighborhood program at Blue Cross Blue Shield, will present this timely seminar. Learn about the changes in Medicare for the New Year, including important additions/deletions to preventive benefits, deductibles, co-payments and any premium adjustments. Literature and resource information will be provided. A light lunch will be served.

Enjoy all the wonderful sights London and Paris have to offer - Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Theatre, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower. Ride the Eurostar train and take a cruise on the River Seine.
Holland Tulip Festival - May 2009
See Holland, Michigan's Tulip Time Festival Volksparade featuring Klompen Dancers, Dutch Village, Tulip Gardens, Wooden Shoe and Delftware Factory, see a show, ride the Saugatuck Dune buggies.

Alaska Discovery Land Cruise - July 9-21, 2009
Thirteen days including a seven night cruise aboard Holland America's Volendam or Zaandam. We will explore Alaska, riding on the Fairbanks Stern Wheeler, discovering Denali National Park, taking a ride on the Denali Express Rail Car and enjoying a balcony cabin aboard ship as we cruise to College Fjord, Glacier Bay, Skagway and Ketchikan.
Cruise Down the Danube - September 12-23, 2009
We will be cruising down the Blue Danube in a luxurious cabin on the MS AMADEUS ROYAL. We will start in Munich and proceed to Vienna, Budapest, Hungary, Slovakia, ending in Germany. We'll stop at towns along our route for tours to places of interest or just to soak up the local culture. We will also board a motor coach to Prague where we will spend 3 nights before returning home.
New Mexico Balloon Fiesta - October 5-9, 2009
Guided tour of Bandelier National Monument with Pueblo cliff dwellings; Tram tour of charming Santa Fe with free time to shop for original art work and western jewelry; Watch Hot Air Balloon Mass Ascension, the nighttime glow balloons and "After Glow" fireworks display; Guided tour of Albuquerque; Pueblo Indian Museum with Indian dancers and the Turquoise Museum.
European River Cruise - Fall of 2009 - Details will be available in the near future.
May 2010 - Alpine Explorer with the Glacier Express and Oberammergau Passion Play
This trip is available only every ten years. You will be visiting Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and witnessing a performance of the Passion Play in Oberammergau. The cost of the trip for double occupancy is $5,999 per person. Reservations must be made by August 15, 2008 with an $850 deposit. A second deposit of $1000 is due one year prior to departure and final payment is due in January of 2010.
¹Must register as a Platinum Adventure member before participating in any of the events. An enrollment card is available from your personal banker. You are also welcome to bring a guest on the trips.
